Steven Paget

Biography

Steven Paget is an Assistant Professor (Teaching) in Finance at the Haskayne School of Business. 

Steven worked at Calgary-based investment bank FirstEnergy Capital Corp. from 1998-2016, holding positions including Director, Institutional Research. He wrote market research on energy infrastructure companies such as Enbridge Inc., TC Energy, Canadian National Railway, Pembina Pipeline, and Northland Power. He also worked at Enbridge Inc. and the Alberta Securities Commission. Before FirstEnergy, Steven was a petroleum engineer at Renaissance Energy Ltd.

Steven joined Haskayne as a Sessional Instructor in 2016, and became an Assistant Professor (Teaching) in 2023. He was also a sessional instructor at Mount Royal University. He holds an MA in Classical Studies from the University of Toronto, and a BA in Classical History and Archaeology from the University of Calgary. He became a CFA Charterholder in 2010.
