Biography
Katherine (Kate) Wong graduated from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Nursing in 2012. She currently practices as a registered nurse in pediatric palliative and hospice care at the Rotary Flames House at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, with clinical experience in pediatric and adult acute care. Kate recently defended her PhD thesis in Nursing at UCalgary, focusing on children’s experiences of serious life-threatening illnesses. She has been actively involved with University of Calgary and the Faculty of Nursing, serving in leadership roles such as the President and Co-President of the UCalgary Nursing Alumni Committee, and currently chairs the University of Calgary Board of Directors. Kate also serves on the Alberta Registered Nurses Education Trust Board of Directors.
