Biography

I delve into the complexities of ethical theory, metaphysics, and philosophical psychology, with a particular focus on the intricacies of free will and moral responsibility.

It's been a privilege to contribute to philosophical discourse through works like "Education’s Ultimate Aims and Freedom to do Otherwise" and "Blameworthiness and Alternate Possibilities." My engagement in scholarship is further reflected by the editing of collections such as "Free Will and Moral Responsibility," where I explored the nuances of human agency and accountability. For a comprehensive list of my published works, please see my PhilPeople profile, and Information Philosopher page.

Beyond my published work, I have presented my thoughts and research at numerous conferences, including the 18th International Wittgenstein Symposium in Austria and the University of Colorado at Boulder's NEH Summer Seminar Group. These engagements allow me to share my insights on how cultural norms influence blameworthiness and the challenges of moral responsibility in a diverse world.

My pursuit of knowledge is underpinned by a commitment to contribute to the wider academic community. By reviewing significant works like "My Way: Essays on Moral Responsibility" and "Autonomous Agents," I consistently engage in the field's ongoing dialogue. I am actively developing projects including a forthcoming paper titled "Obligation Requirements of Forgiveness," which continues my exploration of the ethical dimensions of human interaction.
