Areas of Research

Brain-Machine Interfaces, Mutil-sensory User Interaction in XR (Virtual/Mixed/Augumented Reality), Immersive Analytics

My main research area is in Human-Computer Interactions. The goal of the research is to suggest principles and methods for facilitating intuitive human interactions within virtual environments (virtual/mixed/augmented reality = XR). Human neural mechanisms underlying visual perception and visually guided actions are being applied to various fields. Specific topics include:

  • Investigation and modelling of neural mechanisms underlying high-level visuomotor processes
  • Methods for cognitive-ergonomic, multi-sensory, 3D user interactions in XR
  • Development of XR applications in various fields (e.g., brain-machine interfaces, human-machine collaboration, visualization and interaction of complex data, immersive analytics, surgical planning systems, etc.)
