Biography

I joined the Calgary Section of Neonatology in 2003 and am very fortunate to be part of such a large, dedicated, supportive and diverse team.  My main area of research centers on oxygenation in the newborn period with a particular focus on newborn resuscitation. To support this area of focus, I am a longstanding member of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation where the objective is to translate research into direct clinical care.  My secondary research interest is newborn jaundice.  I have the privilege of co-chairing two provincial groups that focus on optimizing and aligning the practice of treating newborn jaundice across the province.
