More Information

This website Chinese Teaching Group in Canada is set up as a platform for Chinese teaching professionals and researchers across Canada to promote collegial collaborations, scholarly exchanges, and timely sharing of ideas, experiences and research findings in the field of teaching Chinese as a second language. It is our hope that through this platform we can bring individual teachers and scholars together to form a warm community where each member can feel a sense of belonging, caring,  supportive and encouraged, as well as  mutually inspired, both professionally and personally. Such community, as we so believe, will help produce  more meaningful fruits in  the Canadian orchard of Chinese language teaching and learning.

International Conference of Chinese Second Language Teacher Education is to engage in scholarly exchanges on theoretical and pedagogical issues on Chinese L2 teacher education and development from diverse perspectives and develop solutions to real-world problems faced by Chinese L2 teachers. The conference is to respond to the increasing need for quality Chinese teachers and the growing attention to Chinese L2 teacher education and professional development in the world. The conference also includes a Canadian Chinese L2 education exhibit.
