Biography

Vincent Yu-Tai Ouyang is a composer, pianist and harpsichordist. He received his degree of Bachelor of Music in Composition from National Taiwan Normal University. His musical compositions often explore observations of life and reflect on emotional experiences, aiming to convey emotions through his music. Currently pursuing his Master of Music degree in composition at the University of Calgary. He studied with Dr. Laurie Radford and is completing his thesis under the supervision of Prof. Allan Gordon Bell. 

Vincent is a member of Canadian League of Composer. He is currently exploring orchestral and large ensemble writing, with a particular focus on integrating East Asian aesthetics into contemporary Western idioms.
