Dr. Carlson is PhD Psychologist, and works within  pediatric complex pain, in the Vi Riddell Pain Program at ACH. He has experience treating children with both acute and chronic pain, burns, and other chronic diseases. In addition, he provides psychological care to the children in the Vi Riddell Intensive Pain and Rehabilitation Program. His clinical research interests include the psychological management of chronic pain, as well as the family factors that influence the pain experience. He is establishing a pain outcome database for children and adolescents with various pain disorders.
