Biography

Thomas Hordle is a veterinary surgeon and an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Anesthesiology at the University of Calgary. In 2020, he graduated from the Queen's Veterinary School Hospital, University of Cambridge. After a year spent as a general practitioner, he returned to the same institution for a small animal rotating and anesthesia internship. Whilst here, he led a clinical trial into the use of an anxiety-relieving medication in dogs. Thomas then went on to complete a residency with the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, based at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists, United Kingdom, 2022-2025. His research here incorporated heading a second clinical trial in dogs. Thomas' primary current research interest is postoperative nausea and vomiting.
