Areas of Research
My research focuses on speech perception, in particular exemplar theories of speech perception. I have also investigated perceptual influences on cross-linguistic patterns in phonology, the perception and production of creaky voice in contemporary English, and have recently supervised a number of projects on second language speech perception, as well.
