Biography
Shreya Chopra is an EDC Database Developer at CRU/CHI. She enjoys creating the ideal data modelling for client requirements when building a new RedCap project Database, providing rapid support with project maintenance, as well as creating custom software solutions. She started her BSc in Computer Science in University of Regina, Saskatchewan and completed in University of Calgary and continued to get her MSc in Computer Science here as well with a focus on Human Computer Interaction. Her past work experience includes working in UX Design and Data Visualization with the Interactions Lab for the National Energy Board of Canada. Teaching data science at University of Calgary as a teaching assistant and then as a sessional instructor. In this time, she helped develop the new data science minor contributing to and teaching the courses: Data 201- Introduction to Data Science and Data 211- Programming with Python. She then went on to work in the Oil & Gas industry where she got industrial experience on developing and maintaining transportation software. Post this, she began working at the Clinical Research Unit. Her time in research & development has resulted in publications in the following subjects: Human Computer Interaction, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software (API) development, and Robotics. When she is not working, Shreya enjoys playing sports, travelling, and good music.
