Shea believes in the potential of Calgary to become the "next big thing," and strives to be a contributing part of building our new economy. She has worked in a broad spectrum of fields, from technology to entrepreneurship support, healthcare to education. She believes in the strength of interdisciplinary collaboration; combining diverse perspectives to produce the most well-rounded solutions.

At the Hotchkiss Brain Institute, Shea oversees all things communications, and marketing. From overall strategy to social media and ad campaign development, from drip marketing to podcasting to alumni engagement, Shea and the communications team at HBI drive awareness of HBI across the city, province, country, and into the world.

Shea is well-versed in internal and external communications, social media management and digital presence, web content design, KPIs and analytics, as well as integration of community relationships. She thrives in an innovative, fast-paced environment, providing leadership and support in various areas of marketing development, public relations communications, and stakeholder engagement.
