Biography

Seok-Woo Kwon's research focuses on entrepreneurship, knowledge management, and organization theory, and his work has been cited over 22,000 times.

Kwon earned his PhD from the University of Southern California, his MA from the University of Chicago, and his BA with honors from the University of Michigan. Before joining UCalgary in 2016, he taught at Temple University, the University of California at Riverside, the University of Kentucky, and the University of Southern California.

His research has been published in top-tier journals including Academy of Management Review, American Sociological Review, Journal of Business Venturing, Management Science, and Organization Science. He has received multiple prestigious awards, including the W. Richard Scott Award for Distinguished Scholarship and the Academy of Management Review Decade Award. He was also one of the inaugural recipients of the Robert K. Merton Visiting Research Fellowship at Linköping University.
