Biography

Sasha Massey is student development expert with over eight years of experience designing and leading comprehensive student success and leadership initiatives. Throughout her career at New York University, she directed the full lifecycle of six distinct leadership programs that prepared students for prestigious national and international opportunities, including the Rhodes, Fulbright, and Marshall scholarships.

Sasha is also a passionate advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion; this commitment is woven into her approach to teaching and advising, which is grounded in anti-racist and trauma-informed practices to ensure all students have equitable access to high-opportunity programs. Her leadership has earned national recognition, notably for co-developing "Camp Changemaker," a social impact program that received the 2023 Outstanding Leadership Program award from NASPA.

Sasha holds a Master of Public Administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Political Science from the University of Calgary. She is also a certified Gallup Strengths Coach and Intercultural Development Inventory Administrator. Sasha is thrilled by the opportunity to bring her global experience, strategic mindset, and passion for student success back to the University of Calgary.
