Research

Areas of Research

Area of Focus
  • MR-guided radiotherapy
  • Deep learning in radiotherapy
Summary of Research

The Tom Baker Cancer Centre will be installing two integrated MRI and linear accelerator systems (MRL) in the new cancer building. Use of MRLs will have the potential to improve the effectiveness of radiotherapy delivery by increasing the dose to tumors while sparing the surrounding normal organs. Dr. Lee’s research focus is to improve radiotherapy through the use of MRL. This includes physiologic imaging, deep learning, and potential applications for treating oligometastases and cardiac arrhythmias.
