Biography

Samantha received her BHSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Calgary. She completed her honours project in the Debert lab before pursuing her MSc. Samantha’s MSc thesis was part of the RAPID Concussion Study, investigating the Ready Assessment of Prognostic Indicators and Diagnostics for concussion. Her research interests involve identifying prognostic indicators for prolonged concussion recovery in adults with concussion, blood biomarkers for concussion prognosis, and developing a clinical prediction tool for this population. During her time in Grad School, Samantha was involved in the Graduate Students' Association (GSA) as Chair of the Awards Committee and with the Hotchkiss Brain Institute Trainee Association (HBITO) as Vice President and Treasurer. Samantha is currently completing Medical School as part of the Class of 2028 at the Cumming School of Medicine.
