Biography

Dr. Sheng Lun (Christine) Cao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Software Engineering and the Sustainable Systems Engineering program. Her research focus is broadly focused on applied machine learning and decision science for long-term energy system planning, energy policy, and the energy transition. She is interested in exploring how we can leverage advanced computational methods to plan our energy systems under uncertainties from human stakeholders, climate change, and technological shifts, and how these energy system models can inform energy policymaking. Her research supports the development of a more equitable, reliable, and resilient energy system and energy policy.
