Biography
Russell Lam was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. He completed his medical degree at the University of Calgary and his Pediatric Residency at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He returned to Calgary for his Pediatric Emergency Medicine Subspecialty Residency. He has been an attending physician at the Alberta Children’s Hospital since 2013. In 2022, he became the PEM subspecialty residency program director.
His academic interests include mentorship, coaching, and medical education. His personal interests include espresso, running, Air Jordan's, photography, hi-fi audio, stationary, road cycling, personal finance, jazz piano, and acoustic guitar. He hopes to one day run a coffee shop or write a memoir entitled: “My Opinions.”
