Biography
Runqian (Richard) Liu is a fifth-year Ph.D. student in Strategy and Global Management at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary. He received his Bachelor of Management from Xi’an Jiaotong University (China) and his M.Sc. in Marketing from Brock University. Richard has been teaching Strategy Management and served as a teaching assistant for various MBA and undergrad strategy, marketing, and international business courses. Richard’s research interests straddle diversity in upper echelon and corporate governance. He researches why firms worldwide promote diversity in upper echelon and how diversity in upper echelon affects firm outcomes. His works appear in the Journal of International Management and are presented at major academic conferences such as the Academy of International Business annual meetings.
