Biography
Dr. Pinho earned her DVM in 2015 from São Paulo State University (Unesp), Araçatuba, Brazil. In 2018, she completed a residency in Veterinary Anesthesia at Unesp, Botucatu. While working as a veterinary anesthetist in several referral hospitals across São Paulo, she pursued an academic career, earning both a Master's degree (2020) and her first PhD (2022) in the Department of Anesthesiology at Botucatu Medical School (Unesp).
In January 2026, she completed her second PhD at the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM), where her research focused on patient safety in veterinary anesthesia. Her research interests include patient safety and medical errors in veterinary anesthesia, pain assessment in animals, and environmental sustainability in veterinary anesthesia.
