Biography

I specialize in epistemology and metaphysics, employing contemporary analytical approaches to address traditional philosophical problems in these areas. My areas of competence extend to ethics, applied ethics, logic, philosophy of language, and early modern philosophy. I have been recognized with the Faculty of Arts Outstanding Teaching Award and have been nominated for both the University of Calgary Teaching Award and the Students' Union Teaching Excellence Award.

My scholarly work includes publications such as "Natural Doubts: Williams's Diagnosis of Scepticism" in Synthese, "The Tension in Wittgenstein's Diagnosis of Scepticism" in Dialectica, and "From the Familiar to the Mysterious: Putnam's Natural Realism" in Philosophia.

I have presented my research at numerous conferences, including the Skepticism in Contemporary Epistemology Symposium and the Western Canada Philosophical Association Annual Conference. My presentations include "Descartes' Epistemic Principles", "The Real Criterion: Epistemic Justification and Scepticism", and "Natural Doubts: Williams's Diagnosis of Scepticism".

I’ve enjoyed a breadth of teaching experience, encompassing courses in Information Technology Ethics, Bioethics, Early Modern Philosophy, Contemporary Ethical Issues, and Philosophy of Religion, among others. I have also contributed to the University through various service roles, including the Faculty of Arts Graduate Scholarship Committee and the Philosophy for Everyone Committee

My evolving interests lie in the ongoing exploration of contemporary analytical approaches to traditional philosophical problems.
