Research
Areas of Research
The objective of my research is to bring the mechanical system to its highest level, being efficient, reliable and robust, and intelligent. Major activities are centered around modeling, dynamics, control, and fault diagnosis of mechanical systems. In particular, these include:
- Wind turbine vibration analysis and control
- Active vibration isolation for the scanning tunneling microscope
- Continuous and discrete wavelet transforms and their applications to machinery fault diagnosis
- Dynamics and control methodologies for lightweight manipulators
- Pattern recognition for reliable automatic fault detection and diagnosis
- Modeling and control of piezoelectric scanners used in SPM
