Biography
Dr. Prafull Ghatage is the Residency Program Director in Gynecologic Oncology. His major interest is in synoptic operative reports in Gynecologic Oncology, in correlation with survival and patient related outcomes. He is also interested in clinical trials in gynecologic malignancies.
Research
Areas of Research
- Preinvasive and invasive tumors of gynecologic origin
Use of synoptic operative reports has shown that survival is superior in patients undergoing Primary debulking surgery. Additionally, shown that administering more that six cycles of chemotherapy in primary advanced ovarian cancer does not improve on progression free survival and overall survival.
