Biography

Nicole, originally from Ecuador, is a graduate student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Calgary. For the past five years, she has actively volunteered in over ten non-profit organizations that focus on enhancing children and adolescents’ health and well-being. Nicole has also worked as a research assistant in a number of research teams in Canada and the US. Her research interests include developing prevention programs for dating violence to promote healthy relationships, prevent domestic violence, and break the intergenerational cycle of violence. She is very passionate about diversifying the field and supporting other students from minority groups to make their dreams come true.
