Dr. Mouhieddin Traboulsi

Biography

Dr. Mouhieddin (Dean) Traboulsi graduated with distinction from Damascus Medical School in Syria in 1979. He worked for two years in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. He arrived at the University of Calgary in 1981, where he did his Internal Medicine and general cardiology training followed by two years of research and specialty training in Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Traboulsi joined the Faculty of Medicine and the medical staff at the Foothills Hospital in 1988. He is the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Interventional Cardiology in CHR. He is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Traboulsi has an active clinical practice with particular emphasis on acute cardiac care and interventional cardiology. He is the leader of the acute MI initiative in the Calgary Health Region. He participates in multiple international trials dealing with acute care in cardiology.
