Areas of Research
My current projects include: optimizing acute asthma care, assessing coordination of care in a multidisciplinary clinic for kids with complex care needs, creation and implementation of multiple provincial pediatric clinical guidelines; improving processes for care in the acute care setting such as family centered bedside rounds, physician handover, lab follow-up post discharge and tracking of central lines. I am part of the MNCY SCN including development of a project to optimize the pediatric bed capacity. After completing 10 years as Section Chief of Hospital Pediatrics at ACH in fall 2015, my goal is to apply more robust QI and research methodology within my projects and to further develop a base for QI and KT productivity within the Section of Hospital Pediatrics.
