Biography

Michael Ilg is an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Law, University of Calgary. His research has mainly examined law from an economic perspective. He has published in a wide range of areas, including corporate law, securities, environmental law, intellectual property, and legal theory. More recently, his research work has focused on constitutional theory and on contract law.

Professor Ilg regularly teaches law and economics, law and development, remedies, and contracts. He also taught a seminar in the comparative law LL.M. program at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2021.

Prior to joining the University of Calgary, Michael Ilg was an Assistant Professor with the College of Law, University of Saskatchewan.
