Biography

Dr. Michael Asamoah-Boaheng is a Senior Biostatistician based at Alberta Health Services and supports cancer research at Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute (U of C), focusing on advanced analytics. He holds a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Masters in Statistics. He has authored closed to 50 publications across epidemiology, biostatistics and clinical medicine. Michael’s work has spanned infectious disease surveillance, asthma and COPD outcomes, and the investigation of Uterine cancer risk. Building on this expertise, he will apply his rigorous analytical framework to investigate cancer outcomes in the patient populations he has studied extensively over the years.

  • Providing biostatistical, methodological support to cancer researchers.
  • Measuring clinical outcomes of cancer patients (of any type: including lung cancer, Uterine Cancer, prostate cancer, Breast, cancer, colorectal cancer, etc.) with pre-existing comorbid conditions.
  • Population based study of uterine cancer risk.
Summary of Research

My intended research focuses on understanding cancer outcomes and risk in the context of chronic respiratory and reproductive health conditions, using advanced biostatistical and epidemiological methods to inform prevention, diagnosis, and treatment strategies.
