Biography
Dr. Merkebe Demissie is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Calgary. He was a Research Associate and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Calgary. Before joining the University of Calgary, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Dr. Demissie received the Ph.D. degree in Transport Systems from the MIT-Portugal program (a joint program between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and selected Portuguese Universities), the MSc degree in Transport Systems from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden.
