Background

Biography

Meng is a doctoral candidate in Biostatistics and her research is investigating methodologies in prognostic risk scores that integrate clinician knowledge with patient data for predicting dementia. Her other research interest includes longitudinal data analysis, designing clinical studies, and machine learning modeling. Meng has completed a BSc in Mathematics, a Master of Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering from the Hohai University (China), and a Master of Science in Medicine from the Division of Community Health & Humanities, Memorial University of Newfoundland. Meng is also a biostatistician with the Department of Clinical Neurosciences & Hotchkiss Brain Institute, where she provides statistical support for a wide range of clinical research projects. She has (co)authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and has given over 10 conference presentations.
