Background

Biography

With over six years of work experience in neonatology, I am passionate about providing high-quality care and education to newborns and their families. As a neonatologist at Alberta Health Services, I work with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex and critically ill neonates in the NICU, using evidence-based practices and innovative technologies. As a clinical assistant professor at the University of Calgary, I teach and mentor medical students, residents and fellows in neonatal intensive care. I am currently the medical director of neonatal simulation in Calgary and the chair of the stabilization and resuscitation committee; in those roles I am actively conducting research in quality improvement. I have developed multiple skills and competencies in neonatal care, such as neonatal resuscitation, ventilation, nutrition, infection control, and ethical decision-making. I am fluent in English, Spanish, French and Hebrew. I am motivated by the mission of Alberta Health Services and the University of Calgary to improve the health and well-being of the communities they serve, and I strive to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.
