Areas of Research

Computer Graphics
(1) Non-Photorealistic Rendering; (2) Sketch-based Interfaces & Modeling, (3) Visualization & Visual Analytics; (4) Modeling & Simulation; and (5) Human-Data & Computer Interaction.

I am leading the illustrares research group, a multi-disciplinary team of researchers studying fundamental and applied visual computing research, addressing challenges from Science, Engineering, Art/Design, and related domains.

One of our focal points is the ongoing investigation and development of novel expressive visual computing paradigms and software tools, allowing users from multi-disciplines to build, visualize, and analyze models more intuitively and with new insights into exploring their uncertainties.
