Biography
Maria Carolina Franco is a political scientist with extensive experience in public policy, security, and international relations. She has over a decade of experience in senior advisory roles within the Colombian government, including the Colombian Presidency and the National Planning Department, where she worked on citizen security, international cooperation, peace building, and post-conflict strategies. In addition, she served as senior advisor to the Colombian Petroleum Association (ACP), where she supported companies and facilitated dialogue among diverse stakeholders on the implementation of Colombia's Peace Agreement. Carolina holds two Master’s degrees: one in International Development Studies from Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), and another in Political Science from Los Andes University (Colombia).
