Projects
- Developed a wearable indoor positioning system that could estimate the position of a rowing machine’s handle during the rowing motion.
- Collected data from UWB receivers
- Developed a periodic Extended Kalman filter to estimate the phases of the rowing stroke
- The model was validated using a reference trajectory from a Vicon 8-camera motion capture system
- Developed an electronic nose that can identify a beverage based on its aroma
- Collected data from several low-cost sensors (e.g., gas, temperature) using a Raspberry Pi 3 and a Pimoroni Explorer hat.
- Developed A K-Nearest Neighbours (KNN) algorithm in Matlab to create a classification model that was used to predict the aromas of beer and coffee
- The model was validated using a 10-fold cross validation (k-fold)
- A Principal Component Analysis was used as an exploratory technique to validate the model and the results
