Luigi Riscaldino

Biography

With the University of Calgary in one form or another since 1997—when he moved here from Montreal—Luigi has experienced what it is like to be a graduate and undergraduate student, part-time and full-time employee, and even a standardized patient at UCalgary, splitting that time between main campus, the Foothills campus, and beyond.

Luigi has been part of the Office of Faculty Development for several years now, specializing in media (including web design and podcast production) and educational technology (including digital learning), and he managed the AMHSP annual reporting process, know as AIR, from 2021 to 2023. He also worked within the Information Technologies department for the better part of a decade and a half as a technical trainer and online learning developer, and more recently as the university's first cybersecurity and privacy awareness specialist.

Luigi volunteers as a Local 52 council member and, when not at the university, he divides his time between hanging out and travelling with his family and pursuing his acting career in theatre, film, and television.
