I am a clinical researcher with a focus on diabetes in pregnancy and thyroid function and thyroid disease in pregnancy. The type of research that I conduct ranges from epidemiologic research to multicenter randomized controlled trials. My research focuses on ways of improving pregnancy outcomes in women that have type 1 and type 2 diabetes and their children. My research also focuses on determining the best diagnostic and treatment thresholds for gestational diabetes and thyroid function during pregnancy to ensure evidenced based thresholds are used so that maternal and child health is optimized.
