More Information
Lisa is an Academic Strategist in the Student Success Centre at the University of Calgary. She supports students as they transition into university and develop the skills and confidence needed for academic success.
She holds a Master of Counselling in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology. Lisa works primarily with first-year students, helping them build effective learning strategies, set meaningful academic goals, and make informed decisions. Through one-to-one advising, small group sessions, and workshops, she guides students in understanding academic expectations and discovering approaches that work best for them.
Lisa strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, navigating challenges, and exploring their interests, strengths, and goals. Whether students are feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply looking to refine their study strategies, she meets them where they are with empathy and encouragement.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with friends and family and seeking out new foodie spots around the city.
