Biography
Lisa Hawkins is a Master of Education student in School and Applied Child Psychology at the University of Calgary. Her training and professional experiences have focused on psychoeducational assessment, school-based consultation, child and adolescent development, neurodevelopmental differences, and evidence-based intervention.
Her work is informed by a biopsychosocial understanding of children and youth, with attention to the individual, relational, family, school, and broader contextual factors that shape learning and well-being. Lisa has experience supporting students, families, and school teams across clinical, specialized school, and public school district settings, including experience in a rural school division. She is particularly interested in strengths-based and collaborative approaches to assessment and intervention, with an emphasis on translating psychological research and assessment findings into practical, meaningful recommendations.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Creative Writing, a background that informs her interest in clear, thoughtful, and accessible communication. In addition to her graduate training, she has completed professional development in autism assessment and working alliance, including autism assessment training and coursework in creating strong therapeutic and collaborative relationships. These experiences have shaped her commitment to person-centred, relationship-based, and contextually responsive practice with children, youth, families, and school teams.
