Biography

Dr. Lisa Fedoruk is the Experiential Learning Lead for the Master of Precision Health Program at the University of Calgary’s Cumming School of Medicine and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences. She leads the design and delivery of the program’s experiential learning sequence, connecting graduate students with industry, academic and community partners through authentic, reflective, and research-informed practice. Her work emphasizes co-creation with students and host organizations to build meaningful, sustainable work-integrated learning experiences in precision health.

Dr. Fedoruk’s academic interests span adult learning, experiential education, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), with a focus on ethics, partnership, and educational leadership. She is the editor and author of Ethics and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (Springer, 2022), and her research has been featured internationally, advancing ethical practice and innovation in global postsecondary education.

Her current funded research (SSHRC Insight) includes exploring frameworks for optimizing experiential learning and graduate program laddered design. She has served as a long-standing member of the University of Calgary’s Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board (CFREB) and as a SoTL Stream Editor for the International Journal on Innovations in Online Education.
