Biography
Lindsay has been a dedicated member of the Foothills Medical Centre since 2006, beginning her career as a Registered Nurse in the burn unit. She went on to serve as the Clinical Nurse Educator for 11 years before stepping into her current role as Nurse Practitioner for the burn program in 2022. In this capacity, Lindsay provides direct clinical care to patients in both the inpatient unit and outpatient clinic, while also playing an active role in teaching and research.
Throughout her career, Lindsay has held numerous leadership positions, including President of the Canadian Association of Burn Nurses, Co-Chair of the FMC Burn Quality Committee, and currently serves as Chair of the Aftercare and Reintegration Committee with the American Burn Association. In 2023, she was recognized as a “Hero in Health” ambassador by the Calgary Health Foundation.
Her teaching and research interests center on patient-centered outcomes in burn and scar management, acute pain, quality improvement, and advancing nursing leadership.
