Biography

Dr. Kylie Pon earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Calgary, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM) in 2015. Following graduation, she spent six years in mixed and small animal general practice across Alberta. In 2021, Dr. Pon began diagnostic anatomic pathology training and graduate studies at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM). She became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) in 2024 and is currently completing her PhD, with research focused on the diagnostic utility of cell blocks in veterinary cytopathology. Dr. Pon returned to UCVM in 2025 as a veterinary anatomic pathologist and Assistant Professor (Teaching). In her current role, she primarily serves as a diagnostic pathologist with the Diagnostic Services Unit (DSU) and contributes to teaching within the DVM program.
