Background
Biography
Kshef is in her fourth year of Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary. Kshef’s research in Dr. Debert’s lab focuses on an ongoing double-blinded randomized control trial exploring the efficacy of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). The primary objective of her research is to evaluate the effect of rTMS on adults with persistent post-concussion symptoms (PPCS). As part of the largest study to date that explores rTMS for PPCS, Kshef assisted the administration of the rTMS treatment to the patients. She then assessed the quality of life from pre-treatment to the follow up time points comparing the active rTMS and sham conditions. Kshef’s other research interests include neurology and pediatrics.
Kshef is also involved in extracurriculars and clubs at the University of Calgary. She spends her free time baking and spending time with friends and family.
