Background

Biography

Dr. Kristin Lyons is a clinical cardiologist with expertise in Advanced Heart Failure and Echocardiography in the Department of Cardiac Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. She completed her undergraduate medical training at McGill University and residencies in General Internal Medicine and Adult Cardiology at the University of Alberta. She went on to complete additional fellowships in Advanced Heart Failure at the University of California Los Angeles and Adult Echocardiography at the University of Calgary. Her clinical interests include cardiac transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and cardiac sarcoidosis as well as clinical education and she is the current Program Director for the Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship training program at the University of Calgary. She is also is a member of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) having previously served as a member of the Guidelines Committee and is currently a member of the Journals Committee and of the CCS Council.
