Biography

Karla Krewulak, PhD is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Calgary. She received her PhD in biochemistry from the University of Calgary. In her current role, she coordinates Dr. Kirsten Fiest’s research programs: Effect of COVID-19 restricted visitation policies and Family-administered delirium prevention, detection and management in critical adults. Her research interests include ICU delirium, the role of family members of critically ill patients in patient care, and ICU care team member research engagement.
