Biography
Julius Allan Rondilla, CDME is an accomplished events professional with over six years of experience leading conferences, summits, and high-profile gatherings across Canada and internationally. Based in Calgary, Julius currently serves as the Events Specialist at the Schulich School of Engineering, University of Calgary, where he leads signature events from the Office of the Dean, Dr. Anders Nygren. In this role, he is responsible for delivering strategic, high-impact events that enhance the faculty’s academic reputation, foster industry and community partnerships, and celebrate innovation in engineering.
Julius has played a key role in advancing national conversations on productivity through the planning and execution of Canada’s Productivity Summit and the ongoing Canada’s Productivity Initiative conference tour. This work directly contributed to the University of Calgary leading a national research partnership that secured six million dollars in federal funding to improve Canada’s productivity, as announced in 2026. The initiative brings together academic, industry, and policy leaders from across the country and positions the University of Calgary at the forefront of productivity research and economic innovation.
His portfolio also includes national and international events such as the 2025 G7 Pre-Summit Conference: Plans, Prospects and Possibilities, which featured former Canadian Prime Ministers the Right Hon. Jean Chrétien and the Right Hon. Joe Clark, alongside senior policymakers, academics, and industry leaders. Julius is known for his meticulous attention to detail, collaborative leadership style, and ability to manage complex logistics while maintaining a strong focus on audience experience and strategic outcomes.
Before joining the Schulich School of Engineering, Julius built a strong foundation in public policy and international B2B events. As a former senior events lead at the School of Public Policy, University of Calgary, he executed high-level policy gatherings involving government, industry, and academic leaders. Prior to that, he served as Senior Event Coordinator at Generis Group, managing executive-level summits in the medical, biomanufacturing, packaging, and supply chain sectors across the United States. He also supported investor relations and virtual event production at Q4 Inc., working with clients such as Eventbrite and Marriott Vacations Worldwide.
Beyond his institutional roles, Julius is the co-founder of the OMAs (Oshawa Music Awards), an annual celebration of Ontario’s musical talent.
With a background in digital marketing, communications, and creative production, Julius blends operational excellence with a storyteller’s mindset, creating events that inform, inspire, and connect.
