Biography

Julie is a Human-Centred Design Research Associate working with Principal Investigators from within the Department of Nephrology and Division of Endocrinology at the University of Calgary. With a keen interest in user experience (UX) and human-centred design as it co-exists with shared-decision making and patient-centred care, Julie has led and contributed to a range of digital health research, design, and development projects, translating qualitative user research into software requirements and other design artefacts for academic projects.

Julie has completed certificates in graphics design and implementation science and undertakes (re)-branding projects as they come up. During her time as volunteering with a local not-for-profit, Julie applied her HCD and UX skills to support the ongoing promotions and communications needs for that organization.
