Background
Biography
Jon Halvorson is an Alberta based composer of jazz and contemporary concert music, originally from Smithers BC. He studied composition at MacEwan University (BMus 2021) and is currently working towards his MMus in Composition at the University of Calgary. His music has been performed by the Land’s End Ensemble, the MacEwan Guitar Band, and the MacEwan Generations Big Band, among others.
