Biography

Dr. Wang is a Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Critical Care Medicine in Calgary. She currently works as an Intensivist in the Rockyview General Hospital ICU and the Cardiovascular ICU at Foothills Medical Centre, and was the Medical Director of the RGH ICU from 2018-2022. She completed Internal Medicine and Critical Care training at the Universities of Saskatchewan and Calgary respectively, then completed advanced training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, obtaining experience in extracorporeal life support (including ECPR), subspecialty critical care, and ICU Echocardiography. She then completed a further six months of Advanced Echocardiography training in Calgary and has considerable expertise in Critical Care Ultrasound, holding the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound in Critical Care (Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine), Diplomate of Critical Care Echocardiography and Testamur status for Adult Echocardiography (National Board of Echocardiography). She is passionate about medical education and leads Critical Care Ultrasound, CVICU site education and the CVICU Clinical Scholar / Fellowship Program for the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Calgary.
