More Information

Dr. Morrissey obtained her BSc from Penn State University in 2009, followed by a DVM from Cornell University in 2013.  She first came to Canada to complete a joint internship with Moore Equine and the University of Calgary.  Jen then completed a combined Masters in Clinical Science and a Theriogenology Residency at Colorado State University.  She became a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenology in 2019. Jen has been fortunate to practice as an equine veterinarian across the United States and New Zealand.  She returned to Canada in 2019 to join a busy equine practice. Part of the joy in practice for Jen has always been mentoring students, externs, and interns.  Before officially joining the University of Calgary full time, she helped instruct equine theriogenology rotations and labs for the UCVM.  Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys her time in the mountains, traveling, and fly-fishing.
