I am a Principal Investigator (PI) within the HCRN or Hydrocephalus Clinical Research Network where we design and conduct clinical epidemiology studies with the goal of improving the lives of children living with hydrocephalus.

More specifically, I am the PI on a multi-centre prospective cohort study called VINOH examining the relationship between cerebral ventricle size and neuropsychological outcomes in children with hydrocephalus. I am currently also the PI of a study examining the novel ETV+CPC procedure for infant hydrocephalus to determine predictors of outcome in the hopes to identify optimal candidates for this hardware-less procedure. We are also in the midst of a nine centre randomized control study examining outcomes of anterior versus posterior shunt placement sponsored by PCORI.
